Thank you sponsors!
Make sure you thank your sponsors!!
As you all know it is very expensive to be a rodeo queen. Just getting to the pageant is expensive; you need outfits for each event, the best curlers, a ton of hair spray, a truck to haul your horse and horse trailer and the gas to get there. All of these items add up and can make a huge dent in your dwindling bank account. Even though you haven’t won the pageant yet, this is about the time to think about sponsors. As you know these are the businesses, friends and family who are blessed enough to donate money to your year of service. These people are very important to your success and should be thanked at every turn.
When I was in high school I represented the Oregon High School Rodeo Association as their 2003 – 2005 state title holders. I was able to create some great contacts with sponsors that I have held since then.
Coastal has been one of those sponsors. I get all my Wrangler products at my local store. They have donated many items to different fundraisers and auctions. The manager has been so supportive of my rodeo plight. I thank them for everything they have donated and their undying support throughout the years.
Green Diamond Sand Products is my families business. As soon as I announced to my family that I wanted to compete for rodeo queens, the company stood up to the task of helping me get there. Thank you for what you have done for me and for allowing me to represent you as a business.
Malarkey Roofing Products is a new sponsor to my year. When I sent out my sponsor letter this company donated as much money as they could. I am positive about establishing a relationship with this company for future rodeo queens. Thank you for your support!
Oregon Tool and Supply is one of the businesses that supported me since I was 10 years old. Milo Anderson is the owner of this local and statewide company. This year was no exception and when I went calling he jumped at the chance of making my year special! Thank you so much!
Every rodeo queen needs autographs to give to other sponsors and children. My autograph sponsor is my local Staples. They donate 200 autographs whenever I need them. They also made the posters that I used at my coronation, my magnetic signs on my trucks and many other items! You guys are great and I couldn’t be anymore appreciative of your donations.
Everyone knows who their local Northwest Membership Discount Store it… Bi-mart! I have been very blessed to have this sponsor with me since my high school rodeo years. They have even sent me to Las Vegas, Nevada to watch the Miss Rodeo America pageant. Everyone there have been helpful to everything I have done. Thank you for all your donations.
I love to eat; everyone knows that. One of my favorite foods is ice cream and luckily I am blessed enough to have a great dairy right here in Roseburg. Umpqua Dairy Products is one of my new sponsors this year. They are one of my financial sponsors and I am so grateful for their help now and in the future.
Knife River Materials is a company that is sponsoring me through another sponsor connection. I am so excited to have a business like them be apart of my year.
Core Technologies is another new sponsor. Thank you so much for giving and helping me create great memories!
Sponsors are very important. They help with the everyday rodeo needs and the more extravagant purchases. For all you rodeo queens, make sure that you consistently thank them. Send them thank you’s, copies of your articles, pictures of your year and autographs. Everything helps so when you come upon someone who is not able to donate money but can donate those Wrangler jeans be grateful for the opportunity to have them as a sponsor!
