Download PDF Version The purpose of Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant, Inc., is to provide a program for Oregon horsewomen that encourages positive growth in strength of character and personality, healthy attitudes, self-fulfillment and self-respect. The Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant is organized and conducted to select the most qualified young Oregon horsewoman to promote the sport of professional rodeo in Oregon and to represent the State of Oregon at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant, Inc. will conduct the state Pageant under the guidelines of the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. This allows the winner of the Pageant to be eligible to compete in the Miss Rodeo America Pageant upon successful completion of her reign as Miss Rodeo Oregon. Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant, Inc. feels it is the duty and obligation of anyone in a competition of this status to portray the highest of moral standards, show the true ideals of young womanhood and set an example above reproach. Contestants shall agree to abide by all of the rules and regulations set forth by Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant, Inc. failing to meet any of the eligibility rules (without a waiver) will disqualify a Contestant from the competition. Pageant Eligibility Requirements Contestant Eligibility: Each Contestant in the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant on the date of competition and final selection of Miss Rodeo Oregon: 1. Must have obtained the age of 18 years by the date of the Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant, and shall not have obtained the age of 26 years prior to competing in the Miss Rodeo America pageant, if the contestant is selected as the state titleholder. (i.e. a notarized copy of the Contestant’s Oregon Drivers License or Birth Certificate). 2. Must be a resident of Oregon for the immediate six months prior to pageant. 3. Must not have previously been, or presently be, married and/or pregnant. 4. Must execute all consents and/or waivers of liability presented as conditions prior to competition. 5. If Contestant is not presently enrolled in school, she must be a high school graduate or hold a GED. 6. Shall abide by all rules and regulations of Miss Rodeo Oregon Pageant, Inc. 7. Must not have ever been convicted of a felony crime.
