Raised in Tillamook, Oregon, Nicole Bishop is the daughter of Annie and Robert Bishop. She is a hard worker anywhere she goes, whether at school, her grandma's farm or any task that lies before her. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, but most of all with her 12-year-old, chestnut quarter-horse mare, A Page of Trouble. Exploring the mountain range, splashing in the ocean waves or working hard in the arena is where you will find them the most. They have entered many shows from gaming, Western to English, and have accomplished over 30 champion ribbons and 15 high point awards.
Nicole's greatest achievement was on August 2, 2008 when she was crowned 2009 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon. Winning the categories of horsemanship, appearance, personality and photogenics helped her bring home the crown and title.
Rodeo has been a big part of her life. It started by listening to the stories her grandmother tells about being on the Molalla Buckeroo Court. Then it moved to Nicole running sponsor flags and being in the parades for her local rodeo for the past 4 years. She was hooked on the sport since the first time she ran her first sponsor flag and rodeo will always be a part of who she is.
Nicole has always been an honor student. When she graduates from high school she hopes to attend Oregon State University, study Animal Science and become a Veterinarian.
Being the 2009 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon, Nicole knows she will have the time of her life traveling all over the Northwest representing the PRCA and NPRA, her home state of Oregon and the sport she loves. She also hopes to be the best representative to her abilities. Nicole would like to thank all of her sponsors, family, and friends for all their support and care.
