Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon Contestants
Keely Suratt - 13 - Brush Prairie

Brush Prairie is where Keely Suratt calls home.  She is the daughter of Scott and Kim Suratt.  She has three older brothers including Northwest Professional Rodeo Association Bull Ride, Jake Suratt.

Keely attends Hockinson Middle School where she is active in volleyball, Science Olympiad and Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA).  Outside school, Keely is a member of the Columbia Empire Volleyball Association (CEVA), where her team the North County Wildcats recently finished their season in first place in their region.

Horses have been a big part of Keely’s life.  She has two American Quarter Horses; Squirt who is 18 years old is her rodeo horse.  She competes in both pole bending and barrel racing with him.  Her other horse, CJ is 13 and is her partner in the show ring.  Together they complete in reining and are currently learning working cow horse.

Keely is very excited to participate in the Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon pageant and hopes to have the opportunity to promote rodeo in the State of Oregon.

Why I want to be Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon:

I want to become Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon because I would have the opportunity to share my excitement about rodeo with all of the people that I would meet on the road.  Also, I want to be an inspiration to kids of all ages to want to become involved in rodeo.

 Kiernan M. Hull - 16 - Newberg
My name is Kiernan Hull. I am the 16 year old daughter of Christine & Daniel Hull, M.D. My Mom says that I was born and raised on horseback. I live on a farm in Newberg, Oregon with my parents and two bothers, Cody and Cuyler.

I have been involved in equine competition throughout my life. I love Equestrian Vaulting, Jumping, Dressage, Mountain Trail and of course Rodeo. I have competed in several NWYRA rodeos since I was 9. I have three national titles in Mountain Trail.

My Mom and I have an Equestrian vaulting team, Ecco Ridge Vaulters. I absolutely love volunteering my time coaching the children and enjoy watching them improve.

I'm home-schooled and plan to continue through high-school. After I graduate, I will attend Oregon State University for a degree in business and agriculture. When I grow up I want to be a professional horse trainer.

Horses have made me a better person and I enjoy sharing my love for horses and Rodeo with everyone!

Why I want to be Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon:

Since I was a little girl I have admired and looked up to all the rodeo courts. Now it is my dream to get more involved, represent the great sport of rodeo, and be a role model for the children and teens of Oregon.

Meagan Gravelle - 14 - Tangent

Meagan Gravelle, the daughter of David and Tiffany Gravelle, currently resides in “The Seed Capitol of The World” Tangent, Oregon.  Growing up in Tillamook, she has come to love the coast.  She likes to fish and crab, as well as swimming and camping in the great outdoors.  She was the honored recipient of the 2008 and 2009 Junior Miss Rodeo Oregon Spirit Awards as she reflects the true cowgirl spirit.  Meagan takes great pleasure in working at a local stable throughout the week.  There she helps take care of rescue horses, lends a hand at horse day camps, and gives lessons to small children.  She also enjoys competing in horse shows, play days, and 4-H events with her three horses Faxxy, Robbie, and Munchkin.  When she’s not busy at the barn, Meagan loves to run and competes on the track team.  She is currently a member of the 2010 Salem Fairgrounds Rodeo Flag Team.  She accompanies the Queen in parades, helps at local civic functions, and acts as a spokeswoman for the 2010 Salem Fairgrounds Rodeo.

Why I want to be Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon:

The tile of Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon emulates the qualities of the foundation our country was built on – honesty, integrity, hard work, responsibility, and the love of family and friends.  It would be an honor, a dream come true, to be selected as the 2011 Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon.

Savannah Jean Dreyer - 14 - Rainier

Savannah Jean Dreyer is the daughter of Janice and Richard Gonzales of Rainier Oregon, and Ryan and Elizabeth Dreyer of Ramona, California.  Savannah is a talented and gifted (T.A.G.) student who excels in reading and math.  Horses have been a part of Savannah’s life since before she was born, and she won her first belt buckle at the age of three in lead line on her pony Sally.  At age eight Savannah won horsemanship in the Little Miss Ramona Roundup Rodeo pageant.  She is an excellent horsewoman and as the oldest child of six, Savannah helps her mother and stepfather around their farm filled with pigs, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and of course horses.  She has participated in 4-h for five years competing in horses, rabbits, poultry, dogs, and swine.  In her spare time Savannah enjoys barrel racing, trail riding, and spending time with her eight year old Paint gelding, Rocky.

Why I want to be Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon:

Winning the title, Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon would allow me to fulfill my dream of becoming a rodeo queen, while giving me the opportunity to promote rodeo and our western heritage here in Oregon.

Andrea Anderson - 17 - Roseburg

Umpqua Valley is where Andrea Anderson calls home.  Andrea is the 18 year old daughter of Milo and Joni Anderson and the younger sister of Danielle Anderson.  Andrea is a 2010 graduate of Roseburg High School where she was active in OHSET and the Miss Rodeo Oregon organization.  She plans on attending Paul Mitchell the School in Portland to obtain her license as a hair stylist or a nail technician.

With the help of her family, Andrea has been able to live out her dream of owning and riding horses since she was 6 years old.  She has not only been involved in rodeo but she has shown horses in western pleasure, hunter under saddle, show jumping and gaming.

KierIn 2009 Andrea was able to compete for the title of Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon 2010. Out of six contestants, she was 2nd runner up and gained a renewed love for the sport of rodeo.

Andrea is very excited and honored to be competing for the title of Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon 2011.

Why I want to be Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon:

Oregon is a beautiful state.  Not only is there space to go around but the western way of life is clearly seen in everyday life.  Being Miss Teen Rodeo Oregon would allow me to represent this beautiful state and the sport of rodeo.
