Friday started bright and early with our 2ndannual Member Recognition event, that became a “new” event at the 2011 Contest last summer.  Similarly to last year we felt that it was important to not only recognize ALL members with a small gift, but to also  recognize those that have reached a milestone year of service those being 5 year, 10 year, and 15 years as MROP Inc. members.  .

This year’s event theme was to highlight our long-time Sponsor Desperado Couture and Joanne Sunnarborg who owns the Bend store.  Mackenzie wore her custom Tres Outlaws boots designed specifically for her and sponsored 100% by Joanne.  Mackenzie discussed how she designed them and wanted them to look good with pants tucked in or with long jeans.  These are truly a work of art.  She explained a small mishap when placing her name on the back of the boot, one of her names read backward, but Tres Outlaws graciously fixed the error.   In honor of Desperado and Joanne, this years membership gifts were a professional photo of Mackenzie’s boots framed with an engraved plaque designating Membership in years as well as the year 2011 engraved.
