Spirit Award

Miss Rodeo Oregon, Inc. Foundation Spirit Award

The Miss Rodeo Oregon Spirit Award is designed to be awarded to a pageant participant who demonstrates the true Miss Rodeo Oregon spirit of dedication, initiative, motivation, positive attitude, leadership and true cowgirl determination. Recipients of the Spirit Award are eligible to compete for a tuition scholarship to the annual Miss Rodeo Oregon Spring Clinic. The director of the local pageant should complete the application and return it to the MROI Foundation Secretary.

• One Spirit Award per pageant held within Oregon may be given annually.
• The award certificate may be printed from the website.
• The award should be considered a distinct honor (not a consolation prize) and nominations made by the pageant director and/or judges who are in the best position to recognize the necessary candidate qualities.

• The director of the pageant where the Spirit Award is given should complete the application process for the tuition scholarship following the pageant.
• Applications for tuition scholarships will be reviewed by the Miss Rodeo Oregon Board by January 1 each year in anticipation of the Spring Clinic.
• The Spirit Award Scholarship must be redeemed on the date of the next Spring Clinic.
• Spirit Award Scholarships are non-transferable to another person.
• Spirit Award Scholarships are for attendance at an MRO Clinic and cannot be redeemed for the cash value of the clinic in a monetary payout.
• If recipient is unable to attend, the scholarship is forfeited.
